Marijuana or Cannabis sativa is well-known among people, it has a relaxing effect and in some cases can ease the pain. This plant is not addictive when used well. More than 60 percent of America’s population voted for legalization of it. People under the age of 60 are against the legalization. Women and men as equals voted for it, in previous years women were against marijuana legitimation. Cannabis legalization will help grow the economy and at the same time, it will create new jobs. Also, the rate of the prisoners will reduce as most people get there because of drug dealing that is illegal now. Authorities who deal with drugs control suppose that it should be legalized, but controlled like alcohol and tobacco.

Nevertheless not every person agrees with this idea, some people think that the use of second-hand marijuana can be damaging for others (Franciosi). That use of light drugs will be followed by heavy drugs. Constant use of it can lead to problems with health and another sphere of life (White).  Also, free access to drugs is harmful to children who may find such things in a house and try to play with it.

”High drivers” are dangerous not only to the marijuana consumers. Government is especially afraid of dealing with marijuana problem on a legislative level. It is thought that legislation of this type of a drug can lead to the legislation of all of the drugs (Messerli). The moral aspect is rather important in this discussion that is why people and government cannot go along with the consensus. This issue has two sides of the coin and the decision should be taken carefully.
